- Fog, drizzle, and early dusk: Your bike lights are indispensable! For maximum illumination at dusk, it's best to also use reflectors.
- At the beginning of fall, check your brakes, as mud, rain, and leaves turn the bike path into a slippery mess and increase stopping distances.
- Choose the right clothing for cycling. Temperatures in fall can get chilly very quickly, so dress warmly. Don't forget your hands and feet, and remember gloves or overshoes.
