Road biking through the Allgäu and the Tannheimer Valley
The tour starts at the hotel in Nesselwang. The path leads down to the main road via the Alpspitzbahn car park. Keep left here, follow the road for a short distance, and shortly before leaving the village, turn left onto Römerstraße. At the end of the steep residential road, turn right and cycle along the undulating main road, past the Grüntensee lake towards Wertach.
At the traffic lights before Wertach, turn left and follow the road to the Jungholz junction. Turn left there, follow the climb to Jungholz, and the descent takes you back to the main road. Turn left, past Unterjoch, to the large intersection at the entrance to Oberjoch. Turn left here and follow the road to Schattwald and Tannheim, past Haldensee and Nesselwängle over the Gaicht Pass to Weißenbach.
At the roundabout in Weißenbach, take the second exit, past the industrial park, and shortly afterwards, turn right over the Lech River. Follow the road via Ehrenbichl to Reutte. In Reutte, keep left at the intersection, continue to the first roundabout, and turn right here. At the second roundabout, continue straight ahead. At the third roundabout, take the second exit towards the train station. Follow the road past the train station until you reach the main road on the right towards Pflach/Füssen.
In Pflach, turn right toward Pinswang. Continue along the Kniepassstraße and Pinswanger Landesstraße to Pinswang, then follow the road until you reach the second bridge (Ulrichsbrücke) over the Lech. Cross the roundabout after the bridge and follow the road through Vils to Pfronten. Continue through the districts of Weißenbach and Kappel back to Nesselwang.
