Today, the ski jump is known for the annual Four Hills Tournament, where athletes always jump from this hill on New Year's Eve. The Olympic ski jump is only a 15-minute drive away from the hotel. You can park at the Olympic ski stadium car park.

From this height, you can see as far as the Allgäu, Lechtal and Karwendel Alps. You can easily reach the Zugspitze in approx. 9 minutes with the cable car. (Of course, you can also hike to the summit, but the hike to the Zugspitze takes about 9 hours and is only suitable for experienced hikers!) Summer tip: At the Zugspitz plateau, you can toboggan in summer. Good to Know: the Zugspitze has parking facilities directly at the valley station near the Eibsee lake.

Summer or winter – a hike through the Partnachklamm is a definite must during your vacation in Garmisch-Partenkirchen! The hike through the 699 m long Partnach Gorge is easy to master and is also suitable as a family hike. Please note that the path is not suitable for pushchairs. Since most of the trail runs through tunnels, the ceiling height is often lower than 1.75 m – so keep your head down. In the Partnach Gorge, the water drips from the walls, so you absolutely need sturdy shoes and rainwear. You can reach the Partnach Gorge on foot in about 20 minutes from the Olympic ski stadium.

In winter, Germany's highest ski area at 2,600 m awaits you here. There are 20 slopes here, and the ski season lasts until the beginning of May. The "Gletscherweg experience" is perfect for a winter hike. And the Garmisch Classic ski area spans the Hausberg, Kreuzeck and Alpspitze ski mountains and is perfect for families, pros and beginners!

Between the Partnachklamm gorge and the ski slopes on the Hausberg mountain, the illuminated almost 6 km long toboggan run winds its way from the Partnachalm above Garmisch-Partenkirchen down to the Olympic stadium. The toboggan run at Kainzenbad is 1 km long and has many curves. From the car park at Kainzenbad in Partenkirchen, it's a 30-minute walk up to the starting point. Since the descent is separate from the ascent, you can safely turn on the turbo here and really step on the gas.
