From November to April, you can enjoy over 60 kilometers of slopes in the Zugspitze and Garmisch-Classic ski areas in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Both ski areas are just 20 minutes from the hotel in Farchant. Right in Farchant, the Ried ski lift offers a small ski area especially for families and beginners. Have you always wanted to learn to ski on your vacation? Farchant is the perfect place. And for night owls, there's night skiing every Friday until 9:30 pm.
The Olympic Stadium in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, with its ski jump, is, like Oberstdorf, a venue for the traditional Four Hills Tournament. The New Year's Ski Jumping event takes place here.
The Eibsee in Bavaria is also a great destination in winter. Start with a winter hike around the Eibsee, followed by a delicious stop at a restaurant.
