Bike Tour Nesselwang - Wertachtal Loop from Nesselwang

By bike into the Wertach Valley

Strengthened by an energy-packed breakfast, you start at the Explorer Hotel Neuschwanstein and cycle past the Alpspitzbahn cable car towards the St. Andreas Parish Church.

Continue gently uphill on Maria-Rainer-Straße – past the cemetery, along the Wertach River towards the Wertach Valley. Along the way, you'll come to a small bridge, where the path becomes a narrow trail, leads you across a meadow, and soon widens again.

You cycle uphill to Bachtel, turn right, and cycle through the village. After a few kilometers, you'll reach a gravel road and follow it towards Wildberg. After about 2 kilometers, turn left towards Görisried. The path soon turns into a paved road and leads you towards Wildberg.

After about 1 kilometer, things get adventurous, as you soon reach the suspension bridge. Carrying your bike, you cross the suspension bridge and continue uphill to Geigers until you reach the road towards Nesselwang-Marktoberdorf. Follow this path until a path branches off to the left towards Holzleuten.

Immediately afterward, you cycle through the village of Treffisried, continue to Seeg, and around the Schwaltenweiher lake to Goldhasen. The path leads you past the Neuweiher lake to Attlesee. From here, follow the path to the Kögelweiher and finally back to the Explorer Hotel Neuschwanstein.

As promised, you'll have countless opportunities to cool off along the way. Simply dismount and jump into the water!
