Discover the Allgäu by bike!
The Allgäu Cycle Route begins in the climatic health resort of Isny im Allgäu. Starting from the Explorer Hotel Oberstdorf, you'll cycle towards Sonthofen, then on to Immenstadt, and from there to Isny. After a short detour, you'll cycle from Isny along the former Isny-Kempten railway line to Weitnau.
Here you've already reached the highest point of the entire route. The route continues via a gentle descent to Buchenberg, past Buchenberg train station.
From there, the journey continues to Kempten. You'll cross the old Roman town heading east until you reach your next destination, Betzigau.
Continue on Kemptener Straße to Wildpoldsried. Keep right, cross the B12 federal highway, and finally arrive in Unterthingau. From here, follow the signs to Marktoberdorf. From there, you can continue to Schongau, Peiting, and Steingaden until you reach the destination of Halblech in the Ammergauer Alps.
