Have you never heard of the Poacher's Trail in Hinterstoder? Well then, it's about time :) You're familiar with the term "poacher," right? Not a problem, here you'll find the most important information about the trail as well as a little general knowledge.
So...just as the Eiffel Tower belongs in Paris, butter belongs on pretzels, and you belong in the Explorer Hotel - just as the poacher myth belongs in Hinterstoder, and this goes back a long, long way.
Celebrated as social rebels, the poachers reclaimed the rights that the nobility had taken from the "little man." In this case, the right to hunt wild animals. One could say they were heroes like Robin Hood. Many stories and legends tell of the lives of these free spirits.
They knew exactly where chamois, stag, and roe deer were and ensured their survival by stealing the hunter's shot animals. The hunter would then find only a bloodstain and fur fibers, but no trace of the shot animal remained.
