Hike over three peaks to the Grünburger Hut near Explorer Hotel Hinterstoder

Are you ready for your tour to the Grünburger Hut?

After a short drive from the Explorer Hotel in Hinterstoder, you start your hike at the Dorngraben parking lot in Molln (approx. 30 minutes by car).

First, follow the forest road until you reach the signposted "3-Thousander Loop to the Dürre Eck" junction.

From here, you enter a forest area, where you cross a forest road several times until you reach the ridge. This leads you northeast to the summit of the Düren Eck. Here, you have your first, stunning view of the next two intermediate destinations.

After your first destination, you hike along the well-marked path through the forest over to the Gaisberg and enjoy the second view of your hike.

The path to the Grünburghütte initially leads you down a descent along the edge of a lunar landscape of a huge quarry. There you reach the intersection of the forest roads in Pfaffenboden.

From Pfaffenboden, follow the signs towards the Grünburger Hütte. After about 50 meters, immediately before the crossroads, turn right and follow the path directly up the Hochbuchberg. From up here, you have a fantastic view of the Grünburgerhütte.

The descent back takes you first along the access road from the Grünburger Hütte to the Brettlmaisalmhütte. From there, the path turns right across meadows down into the Dorngraben. From here, you first hike along the stream, then continue for a short distance along the forest road back to your starting point.
