The starting point of the tour is Hammersbach. You can get there easily using public transport. First, follow the Hammersbach stream. After about a 30-minute hike, you'll reach the entrance to the Höllenralklamm, where the Höllental Entrance Hut awaits you. Directly after the entrance, there's a small museum where you can learn about the formation of the gorge. It's truly fascinating to see the power of nature!
Now you can enjoy the hike through the gorge! But remember to bring a rain jacket and waterproof clothing; you can get quite wet here.
Once you reach the end of the gorge, it's worth taking a detour to the Höllental Anger Hut (you've probably never eaten Kässpatzen with such a unique view!). On the way there, you'll be accompanied by the impressive view of the Zugspitze.
After a well-deserved break, follow the path back a bit. You'll now come to a bridge that leads over the gorge. You probably also admired it from below. You'll now continue on the path above the gorge to the Eibsee, the Caribbean of Bavaria. You'll quickly realize why the lake is so called. Located at 1,000 meters, the lake is simply a dream. This is also the end of the hike. The cogwheel train takes you easily back to your starting point from Eibsee.
PS: The Höllentalklamm is only open from mid-May to mid-October!
