From the Explorer Hotel in Berchtesgaden, you can reach the Jenner valley station in just a few minutes. From here, you'll ski up 1200 meters to the top station. Then you have another 15 minutes to the start of the Schützensteig. Overall, the climb is suitable for families and beginners and takes about an hour.
The first highlight of the tour is the Flying Fox, a zip line that's quite a challenge. The route continues to the next highlight, the suspension bridge. Here, you've already completed half of the climb.
The route continues to the summit of the Kleiner Jenner; on the way there, it's worth admiring the surroundings. You'll have wonderful views of the Watzmann and the Königsee.
After a break at the summit, you'll be back at the Jenner cable car in about 10 minutes.
Tip: For the more experienced via ferrata climbers among you, it's worth adding the Laxersteig before the Schützensteig. After the Laxersteig, you will automatically reach the Schützensteig.
