Long-distance hiking on the Nockberge Trail in the UNESCO Nockberge Biosphere Reserve in Bad Kleinkirchheim

The stage is 8 km long and takes approximately 3 hours to complete. It is the shortest stage of all. The start is at the Aineck valley station on the Katschberghöhe. On path no. 111, which is well signposted, you walk to the Neue Bonner Hütte.

In approximately 6 hours, you'll hike the next 16.6 km stage. It takes you over the 4 "Nocken" (four ridges) and the beautiful mountain lakes: Laußnitzsee, Anderlesee, and Speichersee. After the Speichersee, you'll arrive in Innerkrems.

With a length of 21.3 km and a walking time of approximately 7 hours, you will complete the third stage, which is crowned with panoramic highlights. It leads through the breathtaking Donnerschlucht Gorge, to Lake Rosanin, and to the Großer Königstuhl. Your destination is Lake Turracher See.

You'll need about 4.5 hours for this 11.1 km long stage to Bad Kleinkirchheim. You'll circle the Falkertsee and then go to the Falkertscharte. Here you can take a short detour to the most famous Nockberg, the "Falkertspitz." Path No. 1 takes you to the church near the Thermal Römerbad in Bad Kleinkirchheim. Here you can end the day comfortably in our Explorer Hotel (perhaps in the spa).

Next, you go to the Priedröf, then back down to the mountain station of the Nockalmbahn and back up to the Wiesernock. Finally, you walk along the Nockalm circular trail to the Erlacherhaus. The route is 13.1 km long and takes about 5.5 hours.

The 21.7 km stage takes you to the Millstätter Hut in approximately 7 hours. First, you'll circle the Rosennock and pass the famous Millstätter Alm. You'll hike through the Erlacher Bock-Scharte ridge up to the Predigerstuhl summit cross. On the way to the Millstätter Hut, you'll pass the beautifully situated Kaninger Wolitzenalm.
