In addition to the breakfast buffet (see Breakfast) served daily from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., the Explorer Lounge offers a variety of hot dishes—including vegetarian and vegan options—as well as tarte flambée, pizza, sandwiches, and salads from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

You can also order tarte flambée or pizza from us after 10:00 p.m. until midnight.

Hot and cold drinks are available all day until the bar closes at midnight.

On the Explorer Wall in the Explorer Lounge, you'll find the best restaurant recommendations in the area.

From 4 pm to midnight, hungry people will find something to their liking here :) Hot dishes (including vegetarian and vegan options), sandwiches, salads, tarte flambée and pizza are available until 10 pm; from 10 pm to midnight you can still order tarte flambée and pizza.

For just €5 per night, you can rent a stylish sports locker in the Explorer Lounge. This locker will then be exclusively yours for the duration of your stay at the Explorer Hotel.

You open it with your room key. Inside the locker, you'll find a rack for your bike and sturdy ski racks for your skis. There are also boot warmers and hooks for your ski helmet and gloves.

Alternatively, you can store your sports equipment free of charge in the bike and ski room.

Explorer Hotels do not offer a traditional half-board option.

When you book with us, in addition to accommodation in trendy rooms, use of the Sport Spa (with sauna, steam room, infrared cabin, and fitness room) and the fantastic Explorer Hotel breakfast buffet are always included in the room rate.

For dinner, you can choose from a variety of hot dishes, sandwiches, pizza, tarte flambée, and salads. Simply choose what you'd like from our menu. All meals are available from 4 pm to 10 pm, and pizza and tarte flambée are available until midnight.

Check-in is from 3 pm, meaning you can access your room from 3 pm onwards.

Of course, you can also arrive earlier, park your car with us if needed, and start your first excursion right away.

If you would like to use your room from 9 am on your arrival day, simply add early check-in to your hotel stay. The price is €35 per room.

If you are arriving after midnight, please provide your mobile phone number in advance. We will then contact you automatically on your arrival day and explain the check-in process via the night entrance.

Check-out is until 10:30 a.m., leaving you plenty of time for a leisurely breakfast and a final hike or bike ride.

If you'd like to use your room until 6:00 p.m., simply add a late check-out to your stay at the Explorer Hotel. The price is just €35 per room.

Why is there a Climate Rate?

The Climate Rate is 10% cheaper than the Special Rate and applies to train travel. We want to reward those who travel in an environmentally friendly way by train.

Does the Climate Rate also apply if I travel by bicycle?

Yes, if you cycle from your hometown, you can also book the Climate Rate.

The Climate Rate does not apply if you are cycling a long-distance route and have traveled by car.

Does the Climate Rate also apply if I travel by electric car?

No, the Climate Rate does not apply to travel by electric car.

Can I also get the Climate Rate if I only travel part of the way by train?

No, the Climate Rate cannot be booked in that case. The entire journey from your hometown to the Explorer Hotel must be made by train or bicycle.

My roommate is arriving by car, but I'm traveling by train. Do I get the 10% discount?

No, the Climate Rate only applies if all guests in a booking arrive by train.

What proof do I need to provide to book the Climate Rate?
You don't need to provide anything at the time of booking. Please show us your train ticket at the hotel before check-in.

How do I provide proof if I have a Climate Ticket?
In addition, you need to provide proof by stating the train numbers from your departure station at home to your destination station at the Explorer Hotel.

I've lost my train ticket.
If you cannot show us your train ticket upon arrival, we unfortunately cannot offer you the 10% discount and will rebook you on the Special Rate.

The Explorer Hotels offer everything you need for your active mountain holiday. Tools for getting your equipment in shape are available at the workbench. In the underground garage, you'll find our free bike and ski storage room. Alternatively, you can book your private sports locker in the Explorer Lounge (€5 per night).

At the cozy bar, you can enjoy daily in Germany from 4 pm to 10 pm and in Austria from 4 pm to 10 pm.

Workbench
At the Explorer workbench, you can check your bike or skis and get them ready if necessary.

Washing Area
The washing area for your bike or hiking boots is located directly at the hotel.

Sports Locker / Bike and Ski Cellar
You can safely store your sports equipment in the free bike and ski cellar. The trendier option is the lockable, heated, and ventilated sports lockers in the Explorer Lounge (€5/day).

Please do not charge your e-bike battery in your room! You can charge the battery in the bike cellar, at the workbench, or in the sports lockers.

Hygiene Bar
In the entrance area, you can wash your hands, disinfect them, and refill your water bottle.

Each Explorer Hotel has four public EV charging stations in its underground parking garage. Parking in the garage costs €8.80 and is payable at reception.

Charging costs are billed directly to the respective charging station provider.

This serves as your room key, as a door opener for the night entrance and, if applicable, for your sports locker, as well as for cashless payment at the bar. Please note that we will charge you €10 if your room card is lost or damaged.

Toothbrush Cups / Glasses
For the sake of the environment, we do not have (disposable) cups in your room. You can get a fresh glass at any time at the bar.

Shower Gel / Soap / Shampoo
"3 in 1" for hand, hair, and body can be found in the dispenser by the sink.

Towels
For the sake of the environment, your towels will only be replaced when they are lying on the floor. Would you like additional towels in addition to the two provided (1 small, 1 large) per person? These are available for a fee of €2.
