Moderately difficult bike tour with panoramic views of the Wetterstein Mountains!
From the valley station of the Alpspitzbahn, you ride along an asphalt road to the Aule Alm and then uphill to the Rießerkopf Hut. After the hut, you continue on this path, passing the valley station of the Kandahar Express chairlift, and shortly afterward reaching the Hochalm.
Here the fun begins: You turn onto a steep and roughly graveled path towards the Osterfelder Kopf. Take a moment to enjoy the summit at a gigantic 2035 m! Before the Tröglift, keep right and ride over the Garmischer Haus, around the front of the Hausberg, and under the Hausbergbahn. Here you'll rejoin the ascent path from the beginning. This time, however, turn right, then keep right again at the next junction: there you can catch a glimpse of the famous Bavarian curve of the historic Olympic bobsleigh run. Continue along the lakeshore, and after a short while, you'll reach the Bobsleigh Shed Museum. From here, a cycle path leads you down to the Aule Alm. Finally, the road leads you back to Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
