Hiking through the Grießbach Gorge for the whole family in the Kitzbühel Alps
The tour starts at the Grießbach Gorge parking lot, which is subject to a fee and is located directly on the right after passing through Erpfendorf. It's only a 10-minute drive from the Explorer Hotel Kitzbühel to the Grießbach Gorge parking lot. From here, a hiking trail leads along the Grießbach stream to the entrance of the gorge.
As the path narrows and the rock walls become closer, you're in the gorge, and the path leads you through the gorge over wooden walkways and suspension bridges. After the second suspension bridge, keep right and soon reach a roaring waterfall. The trail follows the stream up above the gorge, where a second waterfall awaits.
Afterwards, the gorge opens up, and in the gravel banks, you'll find a rest area with benches, a barefoot path, and a slackline. Then, continue along the sandbanks to a junction. Keep left here; another suspension bridge leads over the stream to the Grießbachkanzel lookout point. To get back to the parking lot, follow the Lumberjack Trail through the forest.
By the way, the path is unfortunately not accessible with strollers. However, due to its gentle incline, it's easily accessible for young and old.
