A wonderful tour for beginners to try out gravel biking :)
The start of the Gravelrunde is the Explorer Hotel Neuschwanstein in Nesselwang. From here, it goes to Pfronten and into the Vilstal. The path leads along the Vils River. You then pass the beautiful Kalbelehof Alpe, where you can have a snack among stunning alpine meadows and enjoy the view.
Continue to the right; after a short climb, you'll see an inconspicuous gate on the left; you must go through this to reach Jungholz. Now follows a short stretch up the mountain. Cyclists with excess leg strength can attempt the climb, but otherwise, there's no shame in pushing the bike up the short stretch. Once at the top, the benches invite you to take a short break, and you'll also have a wonderful view of the Sorgschrofen.
But we're not finished yet; we continue through Jungholz, via Wertach, and finally to Grüntensee. This lake is perfect for a refreshing dip, as it's not far back to the hotel from here.
Tip: You can vary and extend the tour as you wish, as the gravel bike doesn't have any restrictions on the road surface ;)
