Description
The starting point for this tour is the Sennhof parking lot in Niederthai (right next to the Ötztal Tourism information office). From there, turn right over the wooden bridge towards the Höfle district. After approximately 200 meters, turn right onto the Bergmahderweg trail. Follow the wide, gently to moderately ascending gravel path straight ahead to the fork. There, turn right downhill to the wooden bridge. After crossing the stream, the gravel path on the opposite side climbs steeply uphill to the Grastalweg. If you wish, you can cycle the extra 10 minutes to the Larstig Alm and take a break there with a hearty Tyrolean snack. Otherwise, follow the Grastalweg towards Grastal. At the hunting lodge, take the singletrack and then continue on the wide gravel path back to Niederthai. Once you reach the Hotel Falknerhof in Niederthai, turn right onto the village road and descend to the Sennhof car park.
