Beautiful mountain bike tour through an idyllic landscape with great rest stops.

A leisurely tour along the Steyr River in Hinterstoder

You start the tour directly at the Explorer Hotel Hinterstoder and cycle towards the Hinterstoder municipal office. Shortly before, turn right and then left at the next fork. The path leads you past lush meadows. At the end of the road, cycle right and then immediately left. After a few minutes, you will reach the Villa Huem.

Then follow the path to the Schiederweiher, straight through the Polsterlucke to the Gasthof Polsterluckenwirt. PS: The Schiederweiher is the most beautiful place in Austria! Here, pure natural idyll with a magnificent mountain backdrop awaits you! Passing on the left, you will reach the ascending access road to Baumschlagerreith, which you follow to the next fork. Here, all you have to do is turn left, and in just a few minutes, you'll reach the long-awaited Steyr Spring.

Done! Sit down, dip your feet in the refreshing water, and enjoy the beautiful nature before you head back.

Tip for the return journey:
If you still have the strength in your legs, feel free to stop by the Alpineum in Hinterstoder. This stopover will guide you through the history of skiing and the development of the Totes Gebirge mountains.
