Mountain bike tour through the Hörnerdörfer in the Allgäu at the Bikehotel Allgäu - Explorer Hotel Oberstdorf

A scenic tour with fantastic views of the Iller Valley and the Allgäu Alps

The tour starts at the Explorer Hotel, then follows the cycle path along the Breitach River to Tiefenbach. Following the main road, cross Tiefenbach and continue to Hirschsprung.

Behind the Hirschsprung parking lot, take the next path on the left into the forest (Sagenweg/Sturmannshöhle). At the second fork, keep right and leave the forest and cross the fields towards the center of Obermaiselstein.

Follow the main road on the left until you reach the large intersection. Turn left onto the pass road and continue along the road for a short distance until the path leads right past the carpentry shop over a small wooden bridge.

At the next fork, turn right uphill and follow the road through Sonderdorf to Bolsterlang. Cross the village street and leave the village via Kapellenweg. Past Riedle, keep left towards the construction yard. Leave the road before the construction yard and turn right towards Dietrichs.

From here, follow the dirt road to Muderbolz and continue via Wielenberg towards Westerhofen. Before reaching Westerhofen, follow the road downhill towards Sigishofen. Before reaching Sigishofen, a path branches off to the right in the forest from the road. Take this path and continue over Wittelsbacher Höhe (881 m) to Schweineberg.

Turn right in the village and shortly after the last farm on the left, continuing through the meadows along the Sonnenalp property. Once you reach the main road, turn left, then left, and immediately right again for a short stretch along the Krebsbach stream until the next path branches off to the right and leads to Tiefenberg. From there, the route continues via Weiler to Fischen and along the Iller River back to the Explorer Hotel Oberstdorf.
