Starting point is the Explorer Hotel Neuschwanstein in Nesselwang. First, drive directly into the town of Nesselwang and turn left into "Steinach" Street in front of the church. Then take the next right, then immediately left into Von-Lingg-Straße, then right again into Lindenstraße, and left again into Poststraße. Follow Poststraße and Fichtenstraße until you reach a gravel road that leads over a small bridge.
After the small bridge, turn immediately right along a stream until you reach the road. Then turn sharply left towards Hertingen. Drive through Hertingen and then continue towards Pfronten-Rehbichel.
Drive through Pfronten-Rehbichel. At the next junction, turn right and then left at the next junction towards Pfronten Kreuzegg. Cross the main road and follow the Moosweg trail. Then a path follows towards Vils. Between Pfronten and Vils, you will pass a viewing platform. From here, you have a fascinating view of the Falkenstein Castle ruins, the highest castle ruins in Germany. In Vils, follow the signs to Alatsee. A short, steep climb awaits you here. Then, turn left around Alatsee and follow the road downhill. Shortly before the main road, turn left onto the path along Weißensee. You will cycle along Weißensee, followed by a climb to Roßmoos. Here, cross the overpass of the federal highway to Wiedmar.
Continue to Holz and Zell. Now it's time to pedal again! A climb awaits you to the Hohenfreyberg and Eisenberg castle ruins, but it's definitely worth it! An incredible Alpine panorama awaits you at the twin castle ruins of Eisenberg and Hohenfreyburg.
From the castle ruins, continue to the Schweinegger Weiher and the Kögelweiher, and then back to the Explorer Hotel Neuschwanstein in Nesselwang.
