The hike starts in Kampl, a small village near Neustift in the Stubai Valley. It's best to park your car in the Kampl car park or start directly at the Explorer Hotel Stubaital.
Follow the hiking trail south over the bridge at the dam, which slowly but steadily leads you steeply through picturesque forests and across idyllic meadows.
Enjoy the fresh mountain air and the view of the beautiful forest clearings. After about 2 hours, you'll reach Wildeben, where you can take a well-deserved break. From the Alpine guesthouse, we recommend the additional 10-minute climb to the Edelweißkopf, as a clear vantage point awaits above the tree line, designated as a Nature Spectacle. Here you can breathe deeply and enjoy the magnificent view of the Stubai Valley. And with luck, you might even see real edelweiss 😍
For the return journey, follow the "black" mountain trail, which leads you back towards the Kamplhöhle cave. The trail requires absolute surefootedness, as there are some exposed sections. It gradually winds its way back downhill and brings you back to the starting point.
The tour is perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy pure nature and magnificent views. Have fun and enjoy your hike!
PS: The picture shows the Stubai Valley in all its beauty; we don't want to spoil a visual glimpse of the tour for you 😉
