Diverse possibilities on the Stubai High Trail

You start your tour with the Elferbahn cable car, which comfortably takes you from Neustift in the Stubai Valley to the Elfer mountain station. Even during the ascent, you can enjoy the views of the valley and the surrounding mountains – it's truly a fantastic experience.

Once you arrive at the top, the climb to the Elferhütte mountain hut at 2080 meters begins. The path is well-marked and relatively easy to manage, even for less experienced hikers. It's a beautiful, varied trail with an elevation gain of 286 meters.

You'll be treated to magnificent views of the Stubai Alps at every turn. The air is clear, the scenery is impressive, and if you're lucky, you might even spot some marmots or ibex. There are also several lovely rest areas where you can take a break and enjoy the view.

After about an hour, depending on your pace, you'll reach the Elferhütte. There, you can fortify yourself with typical Tyrolean specialties – the Kaiserschmarrn (shredded pancake) is especially recommended! The hut also offers a fantastic panoramic view and is the perfect place to unwind. If you still have energy, you can hike further from the Elferhütte, for example to the Elferspitze peak or along the panoramic trail. But even just enjoying your time at the hut is a wonderful experience. All in all, the hike to the Elferhütte is a great combination of a relaxing lift ride, a beautiful hike, and a fantastic mountain hut atmosphere. The return trip follows the same route, and of course, it's also possible to hike up directly from the Stubai Valley. This adds about 800 meters of elevation gain! You can then start directly from the Explorer Hotel Stubaital. It's only an additional 1.5 km to the Elferliste valley station. Have fun and enjoy your time in the mountains! 😍
