You can apply Steffen's tips to road bikes and BMX bikes just as much as to enduro bikes and mountain bikes. Step 1: Wash your bike It's not about cleaning the bike until it's sparkling clean; rather, you should be able to tell from the clean bike where, for example, oil is missing and which areas might be damaged. To do this, simply take some dish soap and warm water, shampoo everything, and rinse it off with clean water at the end. Step 2: Oil the chain After cleaning, the chain should first be allowed to dry. Then apply the oil. Whether you oil from above or below and which oil you use doesn't matter. The only important thing is: everything that moves should be oiled. However, make sure that no oil gets on the disc brake. From Bad Kleinkirchheim, you'll head to Radenthein and then on to Lake Millstatt. The bike tour is approximately 60 kilometers long and you'll climb 700 meters. The gravel route takes three to four hours. Lake Millstatt is an absolute highlight in Carinthia. There are a variety of activities around the lake, such as lidos, a climbing garden, mini golf, and boat rentals.

Felix takes you on a beautiful gravel bike tour from Kaltenbach in the Zillertal Valley to Achensee, the largest lake in Tyrol. The starting point of the gravel tour is the Explorer Hotel Zillertal. From Kaltenbach, the route follows the Zillertal Cycle Path. The route to the south side of Lake Achensee is approximately 25 kilometers long. You'll gain 550 meters of elevation. The bike tour can be extended on the east side. The route leads along the Ziller River to Lake Achensee. The route passes numerous spots for a break, such as restaurants and Lake Schlitters. After a short stretch along the Inn River, the climb begins. With a gradient of approximately 16 percent, the climb is quite challenging. Europe's oldest steam-powered cog railway, the Achensee Railway, also leads from Jenbach to the "Tyrolean Sea." It's been in operation since 1889 and never fails to impress, climbing 7 kilometers and gaining 440 meters of elevation. Following the Achenseebahn railway line, Felix has reached his destination: the beautiful Achensee in Tyrol with its clear turquoise-blue waters. Following the south shore of Lake Achensee, he returns to the Explorer Hotel Zillertal. Besides Lake Achensee, the Zillertal Cycle Path was another highlight for Felix on his gravel bike tour. After a hearty breakfast, it's off to Bike Republic Sölden. Bike Republic Sölden is open from June to October. The bike park features almost 100 kilometers of lines and trails, including 35 kilometers of shaped lines and 36 kilometers of natural trails. There are several bike schools in Sölden for beginners. Five lifts will take you and your mountain bike to the trails. 30 alpine huts provide the best places to stop for refreshments. The Gaislachkoglbahn takes you to the mid-station. To warm up, Flo first rides the easy, blue, EEBME Line (6005) and the OHN Line (6007). After the blue trails, Flo now heads to the first red line of the day: the TEÄRE Line (6003). After the trail, the mountain bike guide takes the Langeggbahn cable car to Hochsölden to the red OLLWEITE Line (6010). Afterwards, there's a delicious snack at the Gampe Alm. Another highlight of the Bike Republic Sölden is the Fernar Trail (6041) near the Tiefenbach Glacier. The trail starts at 2,800 m. It's a high-alpine challenge, and you can only get there with a shuttle that only runs on certain days. The trail is only accessible in good weather. Now, Flo takes on the longest descent: the Giggijoch Long Line. It links five trails with a total elevation gain of 1,300 m, making it 16 kilometers long.
