Coming from the south:
1. E533, B2 to Garmisch-Partenkirchen
2. Inntal Autobahn A12 (follow the direction of Switzerland/Germany/Bregenz/Airport/Innsbruck West), exit E533/B177, B2
By train: | Farchant train station/ from there, it's an 8-minute walk to the hotel (750m) | ||
By bus: | The nearest bus stop is on the main street at the train station. |
From Munich, you can take the RB6 or the RE61 & RB6 to Farchant train station within 1:15 - 1:35 hours. There are 2 - 3 connections per hour.
With the guest card, bus travel in the region is free. But you can get to the ski and hiking areas from Farchant by train, which is even more relaxing.
Highlight: At the train station in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, you can transfer to the cog railway, which will take you all the way to the Zugspitze. Yes, that's right ;-)
