Strenuous bike tour around the Edelsberg to Pfronten

From the Explorer Hotel, ride down the road to the main road and turn left. Before the road winds uphill to the right, turn left onto Römerstraße.

Then turn right and left again onto the B309 towards Oy-Mittelberg/Kempten. At Gschwend, turn left towards Wertachmühle and at the third junction, left again towards Feriendorf Reichenbach.

Through Reichenbach, turn left onto the main road and continue until the road towards Haslacher Alpe begins on the left. Below the Haslacher Alpe, keep left on the gravel road towards Jungholz and at the next fork, turn right towards the Stubental Alpe towards Tirol.

On the descent from the Stubental Alpe, follow the paved road and after about 300 m, turn left onto the gravel road towards Pfronten/Vilstal. The road turns into a path and joins a forest road, which you follow, turning right, downhill towards Pfronten.

At the junction in the Vilstal valley, turn left towards Pfronten and, heading out of the valley shortly after the Vilstal sawmill, cross the bridge over the Vils River on the right and continue left along the stream to the Schochersäge.

Here, turn sharply right, follow the path to Himmelreich, and continue towards Schönkahler. At the next junction, turn sharply left towards Fallmühle. Before the main road, turn left onto the cycle path along the Steinacher Ach stream to Pfronten-Steinach, Pfronten-Ried, and finally Röfleuten.

Continue along the Einfängweg towards Pfronten-Kappel, where you cross the main road at the northern end of the village and continue towards Hertingen. The main road then returns you to Nesselwang.
