Bike tour from the Explorer Hotel Oberstdorf to Farchant

Your second stage of the Transexplorer starts at the Explorer Hotel Oberstdorf. Here, you'll resume cycling on the Iller Cycle Path, continuing straight ahead for the first few meters until you reach the first intersection in Fischen: turn right onto Illerstraße and continue straight ahead.

After several kilometers, you'll have to say goodbye to the Iller and the Iller Cycle Path. Here, you'll turn right again onto Stadionweg, keeping right until you can turn left onto Frühlingsstraße a few meters later. From there, continue straight ahead until you reach the roundabout, where you'll take the second exit straight ahead onto Hindelanger Straße towards Binswangen. A little later, you'll cross the B308 on the left, then continue straight ahead on Rauhhornstraße.

At the next roundabout, take the second exit again and then immediately turn left. From here, continue straight ahead on Alte Jochstraße for a while until, at about the height of the Schwand reservoir, you turn right from the B308 onto Paßstraße. Stay on this road until you reach the Schattwald federal highway again. Here, turn left after a large supermarket as soon as you reach the junction.

Continue directly along the Vils River, briefly crossing the B199, then turning right and at the end of the road, turning right again onto Bergstraße.

After the villages of Grian, Gaicht, and even a wildlife sanctuary, you'll reach a cycle path right next to the Lech River. You'll cross it shortly afterward to reach Ehenbichler Straße. Passing the beautiful Plansee, towards Grainau, you'll soon be able to see the famous Eibsee in the distance - now it's not far to Garmisch-Partenkirchen!

Once you arrive in Garmisch, it's only a few meters to your destination, Farchant. Turn right onto "Am Wehr" Street and reach the Explorer Hotel Garmisch.
