The Schloßwand Gorge Trail Crossing (B/C) is the ideal introduction to the world of via ferratas. It is considered the easiest iron trail in the region – but be careful: like the Felsenfenster Via Ferrata ©, the route often leads through narrow gullies that can become slippery due to moisture! Surefootedness is required here.
The Hohe Wand Via Ferrata © offers a bit more of a thrill. Here, you can expect airy passages and two spectacular rope bridges that will definitely make your via ferrata heart beat faster. The descent then takes you via the gorge trail, perfect for enjoying that adrenaline rush again.
For real pros and athletic via ferrata climbers, there are the Pfeiler Wand Via Ferrata (D) and the Brückenwand Via Ferrata (D). This is where things really get serious: Several challenging crux sections with overhangs, steep edges, and slabs will demand everything from you. Only for experienced climbers – maximum strength and technique are required here! These routes also return to the valley via the gorge path.
