Family Bike Tour to Grüntensee
From the Explorer Hotel Neuschwanstein, cycle towards Nesselwang town center, past the "Bäckerei Lipp" (Lipp Bakery), and turn left onto the steeply ascending Roman road. At the end of the climb, follow the signpost towards Wertach – and you'll immediately reach the Allgäu Cycle Route.
After about 4 km, you'll reach the Buronstadl, which also houses a children's park where little explorers can really let off steam! Speed down the 70-meter-long giant slide on plastic sleds, tackle the tubing track, or perhaps conquer a 300-meter-long tire slide with banked turns and jumps? Who can resist this fun? But don't linger too long; after all, you'll need more energy to get you through the end of the bike ride ;)
P.S. If you'd rather use up your energy by romping around in the children's park, you can also cycle later along the riverside path following the signpost for Nesselwang through the Wertach Valley back to the Explorer Hotel.
Following the signpost for Grüntensee, the path continues towards Wertach. You won't cycle all the way into the town, but after about another 3 km, follow the signpost for the Grüntensee circular trail to Haslach/Grüntensee. Passing nature information boards, you cycle to the entrance of Haslach and continue through the town towards Nesselwang. If you feel like putting your climbing skills to the test, simply follow the signpost to the Grüntensee climbing forest at the town exit. The return route then continues along the Allgäu cycling route via Gschwend and on to the Explorer Hotel in Nesselwang!
