Great and easy circular hike to the Eiferbach Waterfall from St. Johann
From the hotel, head towards the town center, keep right here and follow the path towards Almdorf / Eichenhoflifte.
By car, the parking lot at the Eichenhoflifte is ideal. On foot, in Almdorf, follow the signs towards Grander Schupf / Eifersbacher Waterfall.
Once you reach the access road to the Gasthof Grander Schupf (large sign by the roadside), follow the road (a dead end) to the Tannhof. In front of the farm, take the narrow meadow path, pass the Bichln farm, and descend through the forest to the Theresienbad (chapel).
A forest path leads gently uphill along the Eifersbach stream towards the waterfall. Trails and bridges lead to the foot of the waterfall, where the water plunges 25 meters into a deep drop.
A short, steep, stair-like path leads up to the forest road, which then descends slightly to the Grander Schupf Inn and further down into the valley to the starting point of the hike.
You can start the tour on foot from the hotel. By bike, you can quickly reach the Eichenhof lifts, and from there, continue on foot. From the parking lot, the walk takes approximately 2 hours.
