Groundbreaking ceremony for the Explorer Hotel Stubaital hotel project in Neustift

Bayrischzell, August 6, 2026 - Together with the mostly regional construction partners working with general contractor Bodner Bau, the important construction milestone – the completion of the building shell – of the Explorer Hotel Stubaital at the Wiesenweg location in Neustift was celebrated today. Around 70 representatives from the participating companies and Explorer Hotels enjoyed a festive meal. "We are very proud to have once again secured predominantly regional companies for the construction of our 11th Explorer Hotel. Our thanks and appreciation go to everyone involved in the project. Thanks to the excellent planning by Bodner Bau and a smooth process, we are even ahead of schedule," said Jürnjakob Reisigl, who, together with Katja Leveringhaus, is the initiator and managing director of Explorer Hotels.

With more than 2,000 beds and 190,000 overnight stays per year, Explorer Hotels has been a pioneer in climate-friendly tourism in the Alpine region for over 10 years.

With the opening of the Explorer Hotel Stubaital in 2024, a hotel will not only be located in the region, but also designed for the region. The hotel will create 25 year-round jobs, aiming to strengthen the regional job market in the long term. Furthermore, the Explorer Hotels, a well-known sustainable hotel brand, will provide a boost to tourism, strengthening the region's economy.
