Whether on foot or by train, we recommend our local mountain, the Jenner. And it's just a stone's throw away from the Explorer Hotel Berchtesgaden. Discover the enchanted forest at Hintersee in Ramsau! Numerous legends and myths abound here... See for yourself 😉 By the way: It's also considered one of Bavaria's most beautiful geotopes.
Our tip: Hike through the forest to the lake and then around it. You can also rent a rowboat there.

Water and narrow gorges - the Wimbach Gorge is a wonderful nature experience for all ages!

Fancy a little splashing around? Ideal, of course, when the weather isn't so good... The Watzmann Therme in Berchtesgaden, with a water surface of 900 m², offers the following areas: relaxation, wellness, swimming fun, and sports.

Hop in and off you go: With the summer bobsleigh taxi, you'll whizz down the 1,200-meter-long ice track in the Königssee Ice Arena at 120 kilometers per hour. Afterwards, you'll receive a bobsleigh diploma and a souvenir 😉 Definitely worth it!

Looking for a bit of culture or shopping in between? Then Salzburg, about 35 km away, is the perfect place for you. Visit the city of Mozart and combine your city trip with a visit to the "Haus der Berge" (House of the Mountains) – ideal for little explorers 😉
