Here you will find an alternative ascent route for the Hochoetzkogel ski tour.
If there is enough snow, you can start directly at the valley station - otherwise, you can also take the lift to the middle station.
If you start from the very bottom, you will first ascend over a meadow. The route is fairly flat, and you will then reach the Schwaiglern house. Here, keep left, across another meadow section towards the Bichlalmlift. Then, cross the access road to the middle station. But before the lift, you continue uphill and reach the groomed piste. Here, keep right of the chairlift until you reach the Bichlalm.
Want to continue further to the Hochoetzkogel? No problem! After the Bichlalm, continue on the groomed piste to the right until you reach a saddle. Once you reach the saddle, you are now between the Hochoetzkogel and the Stuckkogel. From the saddle, continue left past a hut. There aren't many more meters of elevation gain before you finally reach the panoramic summit. From here, you'll also have a wonderful view all the way to Kitzbühel!
Descent: If there's enough snow, we recommend a backcountry descent; alternatively, you can also take the groomed slope back to the mid-station.
PS: The tour described here is not a classic on-piste ski tour, but leads through open terrain. The last few meters to the summit also lead over open and unsecured terrain!
