Directions for the Little Ötztal Road Bike Tour
The tour starts at the Freizeit Arena Sölden at 1,347 m. First, the route heads out of the valley to Umhausen and then turns right towards Niederthai. Along the way, you pass the Ötzi Village and a viewpoint overlooking the Stuibenfall waterfall.
From Niederthai, the route returns along the same route before turning off to Köfels on the other side of the valley between Umhausen and Längenfeld. The route then returns to the main road.
Then, the route heads back towards Sölden, turning off at the roundabout in Unterlängenfeld towards Gries. If you still have enough energy in your legs after the climb to Gries, continue to the end of Gries and explore the village of Winnenbach, collecting approx. 130 additional meters of elevation gain and 1.4 kilometers.
To reach the last village of the tour, return to the valley via the Grieser Landesstraße. At the roundabout, take the third exit heading south and follow the federal highway to Runhof. In Runhof, turn left to reach the mountain village of Burgstein.
From up there, you have a beautiful view of the Längenfeld valley basin. Once back in the valley, follow the federal highway to the entrance of Sölden, then continue through the districts of Kaisers and Rechenau on side roads back to the Freizeit Arena.
