The Zillertal certainly has plenty to offer in terms of cross-country skiing. On the Ried trail near the Explorer Hotel Zillertal, even less experienced skiers will quickly get a taste for classic cross-country and skating skiing.

The Ried cross-country ski trail is ideal for beginners or as a leisurely warm-up tour. The trail starts at the Gasthof Zillertalerhof. Alternatively, you can also start at the Mari Pop Hotel. From there, you can enjoy classic or skate cross-country skiing on 1.5 kilometers of trails across meadows to Gehgasse, and then return the same way.
