The Ostalb Gravel 2026 💚
On March 15, 2026, the first Ostalb Gravel race kicked off in Aalen. And we were there live with the Explorer Hotels. Despite the chilly temperatures, the premiere was a real highlight for everyone who loves gravel, elevation gain, and community spirit.
522 riders participated in the inaugural event, making it a strong start to the season for the gravel scene.
The race covered a varied 57-kilometer course with approximately 1,020 meters of elevation gain – over asphalt, gravel, and with stunning views – the perfect mix that makes gravel riding so special! 💪
To refuel, hot potato soup with sausages was available at the refreshment station. At the finish line, cabbage noodles and tarte flambée awaited – just what was needed for recovery after the challenging gravel ride.
