The eleventh Explorer Hotel in the Stubai Valley is being built!

In Neustift im Stubaital, the groundbreaking ceremony for the 11th Explorer Hotel took place today.* The new Explorer Hotel Stubaital will welcome environmentally conscious and active vacationers starting in December 2024, who can enjoy themselves here all year round – skiing or biking. A workbench for preparing sports equipment, ample storage space, and lockers for your equipment are just as much a given here as respect for nature.

With this passive house hotel, the Explorer Hotel family is consistently continuing its sustainability strategy and taking it one step further: The building concept, energy supply, and the overall sustainability concept of Explorer Hotels have been refined and further developed.

In 2010, the first Explorer Hotel opened in Oberstdorf in the Allgäu region – as the first
certified passive house hotel in all of Europe. The 11th location in the Stubai Valley will open this year. The focus here is always on the compatibility of tourism and sustainability.

The hotel is committed to sustainable management in harmony with natural resources and regional products. The hotel does not have its own pools or restaurants in order to utilize local resources and conserve resources. Special attention is also paid to waste reduction. So-called Green Icons inform about the hotel's environmental protection measures and show how guests can contribute.

The Explorer Hotel Stubaital will also offer the popular Explorer Hotel Climate Rate, which grants a 10% discount to guests arriving by train and foregoing their own car. The environmental management system is certified according to DIN ISO 14001. For guests who are mindful of their ecological footprint, the Explorer Hotels offer overnight accommodation including breakfast and use of the Sport Spa with sauna, steam bath, infrared cabin, and fitness room from €59.80 per person per night.

In addition to its focus on sustainability, the Explorer Hotel caters to active vacationers of all ages. A special highlight is the hotel's own bike and trail running camps, where professional athletes share their theoretical and practical knowledge. Perfectly geared for athletes, bikers will find a washing area right outside the hotel and a workbench in the Explorer Lounge for tinkering and preparing their equipment. Tour tips are available at the Explorer Wall or from the buddies, as the staff are called. Lockable sports lockers offer ample storage for equipment.
