The abbreviation "SDG" stands for "Sustainable Development Goals." Perhaps you've already heard of the 2030 Agenda? At the meeting of the United Nations member states in 2015, 17 Sustainable Development Goals were adopted. These are to be achieved by 2030 and thus promote sustainable development on an economic, social, and environmental level.

Achieving the SDGs requires a wide range of sustainable measures. As Explorer Hotels, we have focused on the following SDG targets to contribute to the future. These should help us to consciously shape our everyday actions and sustainable decisions.
The contribution to the breakfast: We pay particular attention to supporting regional suppliers on site. This way, we guarantee the best quality and also protect the environment. Old bread is taken to farmers or our egg suppliers. Waste from the organic waste bin is used as "green fuel." Explorer vacation tip: Make your breakfast vegan on one day of your vacation!

At Explorer Hotels, we use a maximum of renewable energy. You'll find energy-saving light bulbs, LEDs, and motion detectors throughout the building.
Passive house construction is currently the most energy-efficient and environmentally friendly construction method. Inside, the existing energy sources, such as people's body heat or incoming solar heat, are used to generate heat. There are also triple-glazed windows that protect the hotel from the heat. Fresh air is exchanged through a ventilation system.
Even the smallest step is a step in the right direction and has a big impact on global development 😎. Here are a few tips you can easily implement in your everyday life:
