After Betti has prepared your skis at the workbench in the Ski Area at the Explorer Hotel Kitzbühel in St. Johann, you'll head off to the ski area between the Kitzbüheler Horn and Wilder Kaiser mountains in Tyrol. The Hahnenkamm cable car takes you from Kitzbühel up to the ski area, where the start house for the famous Hahnenkamm race on the Streif awaits you at the mountain station. Julian Witting takes you to the Silvretta Montafon ski area in Vorarlberg, Austria, and checks out the slopes. From the Explorer Hotel Montafon in Gaschurn, take the ski bus to the valley station of the Versettla cable car. Julian takes cable cars 1 and 2 up and then descends on the black piste 54. Now Julian is at the Schwarzköpfle. The Silvretta Montafon ski area in Vorarlberg has a total of 36 lifts and 141 kilometers of slopes – 28 kilometers of which are freeride routes. The slopes are located at an altitude of 700 to 2340 meters. This means that 50 percent of the slopes are above 2000 meters. The video focuses primarily on skiing on the Nova side of the Silvretta Montafon ski area. The Rinderbahn cable car takes you up to 2200 meters. Julian Witting takes the red and short piste 33 with spectacular mountain panoramas down to the Sonnenbahn cable car. The Sonnenbahn cable car takes you back up in the sunshine. He is now at an altitude of 2,145 meters. A long descent awaits Julian towards the Valisera cable car. The slopes of the Silvretta Montafon are slightly hilly and not completely flattened. This makes the slopes very varied for skiing. Julian is now at the middle station of the Valisera cable car. The last stop is the Gaschurn valley run in Vorarlberg. The slope used to be a ski route. Now it's a groomed ski slope. On the way back to the Explorer Hotel Montafon, there's a short black slope. The Silvretta Montafon is a diverse ski area with blue, red, and black slopes. It's ideal for families, as well as for recreational and competitive skiers.
