What is the Four Hills Tournament?
For 70 years, the Four Hills Tournament has been one of the top events in the calendar of many winter sports fans. The Ski Jumping World Cup events take place annually around the turn of the year at four locations in Germany and Austria. There are always two rounds, with the first round being the qualification round and the second round being the scoring round.
Get your calendar out, these are the dates
- The opening jump of the Four Hills Tournament is at the Schattenberg ski jump in the World Championship ski jumping arena in Oberstdorf.
- On New Year's Day, the ski jumpers will compete at the Olympic ski jump in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
- The event then stops in Innsbruck.
The tournament culminates with the Epiphany jump in Bischofshofen.
This year, the ski jumping tournament will take place from December 29, 2025, to January 6, 2026.
With its almost 150-meter-high ski jumps and competitors soaring more than 140 meters through the air at takeoff speeds of 92 km/h, the Four Hills Tournament is not only a sporting event, but also offers a unique atmosphere against a breathtaking mountain backdrop thanks to its stadiums with a capacity of over 25,000 spectators.
