We look back on an exciting year 2022 for Explorer Hotels
Okay, to be honest, we really have to think about WHAT exactly happened this year - it felt like one highlight followed the next 😄 But for now, we'll just limit ourselves to the TOP highlights:
... was the motto in two respects: In October, the 10th Explorer Hotel was opened🥳The Explorer Hotel Garmisch in Farchant is an ideal starting point for sporting activities in both summer and winter - in the middle of the Zugspitze region, nothing is left to be desired.
And the second 10? In December, we were thrilled to have 10,000 followers on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/explorer_hotels/. So many people who embody the Explorer spirit and share it with us. Speaking of "sharing": Please continue to diligently share your #ExplorerMoments with us - we're always excited to see where you're traveling!
And 10 divided by 2 is? 5🎉 Two Explorer Hotels celebrated their fifth anniversaries this year: The Explorer Hotel Zillertal and the Explorer Hotel Hinterstoder have been welcoming guests since 2017.

After a break of almost two years, we were able to get back on the road this year and meet you at several sporting events: Whether it was the Bike World Cup in Leogang, Winterberg, or Aalen, the Transalpine Run in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, or the Bike Transalp finale in Riva del Garda—it was great to finally be back at sporting events and chatting with you. Thanks again for your visits to our event booths!
Of course, the World Cup in our bike team's hometown, Aalen, remains particularly memorable: We were there live when Vice World Champion Simon Gegenheimer secured the World Cup victory in front of a home crowd. Honestly? We still get goosebumps 😍 But that wasn't the only World Cup victory for the mountain bike racing team: Teammate Marion Fromberger also secured several World Cup victories in India and Indonesia!
This summer, you were able to get started again with our pros at the bike and trail running camps – which we're thrilled about, because that's the best thing: spending an unforgettable time with great people in the mountains, right?
We're already planning for the new year as well and will keep you updated so you can secure your spots for the camps soon!
