Looking back on the best moments of 2023: The Explorer Hotels annual review
As the year turns, we wanted to take a look back at everything Explorer Hotels accomplished and experienced in 2023 and what we are particularly proud of.
The Explorer Hotels Family was once again active in 2023 - here are a few highlights
Transexplorer
The Transexplorer Tour in June:
Three friends set out on a tour across the Alps on their gravel bikes. From explorer to explorer, the three covered 450km and 4,000m of elevation gain.
Renn's road bike round trip
The highlight of September:
Renn's road bike tour took the cycling group from Fischen to 7 of 10 Explorer Hotels in 6 days.
672km and 8556m of elevation gain – quite an achievement!
The MTB Racing Team
There were quite a few successes this year!
In May two riders, Marion and Titouan, won the World Cup. And in June Titouan also won the World Cup. There was a very special victory in October. Titouan, Marion and Simon once again dominated the first two places.
Our environment plays an important role for us every day - Together we experienced great things in 2023
CleanUp Days
Throughout the summer, the Plasticfree Peaks association organized cleanups in various regions of the Alps. Naturally, we actively supported them!
Explorer Clean-Up Days
This year, our employees supported the fantastic Platikfree Peaks initiative. In September, they went out as a team to collect trash in their region.
This year we were once again able to meet many of you personally and discover new sports together!
Events 2023
We had pleasant conversations and lots of fun at events like the Ski Touring Testival in February, the GaPa Trail in April, and the MTB World Cup in Leogang in June.
A little preview of next year: we'll be represented at various events and races in 2024 as well. We're looking forward to it!
Camps 2023
In 2023, we welcomed many of you to the Explorer Camps. We're sure you had as much fun as our Explorer Buddies and look forward to new mountain adventures and discoveries next year.
