Today's tour starts directly at the Explorer Hotel in Bad Kleinkirchheim and heads towards Petergassen. After the first 50 meters of ascent, you'll take a short break before heading downhill for 3 km. You can also use the bike path that runs parallel to the road.
Once you reach Petergassen, turn left towards Reichenau. After about 14 km, you'll reach the next turn and continue left to the Nockalmstraße.
After your warm-up phase, the first challenge follows – you'll head back uphill to 2024 m the Schiestlscharte. At the top, you'll reach the Glockenhütte, and from there, you'll continue with a spectacular descent of over 500 meters to the Tangerhütte.
The second challenge of the day follows: You'll cycle uphill again until you reach the Eisentalhöhe at 2042 m. After you've already mastered the first 40 km and 1500 meters of elevation gain, now is the perfect time for a break and some refreshment ;) Replenish your energy reserves while enjoying the unique view of the Nockberge Mountains.
Refreshed, you now descend again with 1300 meters of elevation gain via Innerkrems to the end of the Nockalm Road. Then you continue cycling via Vorderkrems, Kremsbrücke, Leoben, Eisentratten, and to Gmünd. Many beautiful huts invite you to rest along the 34 km long Nockalm Road.
Now you have the choice – either you cycle back flat via Seeboden or you gain a few more meters of elevation and take the route via Burgstaller and Treffling to Seeboden.
Then the route continues flat, along the shore of the beautiful Lake Millstatt to Döbriach. Here follows the final climb of 400 meters of elevation gain over a distance of 10 km, via Radentheim to Bad Kleinkirchheim.
