Tobogganing fun
Fancy a winter hike to the Alpe Dornach followed by a toboggan ride? On this toboggan run, you'll be treated to a beautiful panorama of the Nebelhorn and the surrounding peaks. A highly reliable snow cover and a groomed toboggan run await you!
Or you can visit the natural toboggan run at the Gaisalpe. Here, you can marvel at and enjoy the view of the Illertal Valley.

Even if you're not in Oberstdorf to ski, a trip to the Nebelhorn is worth it! You can admire the snowy mountains of the Allgäu even without skis!
Thanks to the North Face Trail, you can walk all the way around the summit of the Nebelhorn. It's about 100 meters long, and thanks to the panoramic view, you won't miss a single bit of the unique panorama that awaits you up there!

Enjoy the vast network of cross-country ski trails in and around Oberstdorf. Over 67 kilometers of trails await your visit.
One of our highlights: at the Nordic Center Oberstdorf, you even have the opportunity to ski under floodlights! On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, you have the chance to visit the night trail!
Visit to the Breitachklamm
Visit the Breitachklamm. In winter, the gorge transforms into a magical world of icicles and snow. It's a breathtaking experience!
PS: You can also visit the gorge in the evening. For this, you can hike through the gorge equipped with torches and admire the curtains of ice by the glow of the fire!

Winter hiking to the lake that never freezes
This hike takes you to the Trettach Valley. The great thing about the hike is that you have beautiful views throughout and walk through a winter wonderland.
The destination is the Christlesee. This lake is a dream in both summer and winter. Because it is fed by underground springs, it never freezes over. However, it never reaches more than 6 degrees in summer either.

Of course, a delicious cake is a must on your short break in Oberstdorf. We recommend the Käshüs in Oberstdorf. Here you'll find delicious cakes and snacks made with regional products.
