A Journey into the Past of the Ötztal Valley
Everyone has probably heard of the Iceman "Ötzi," a glacier mummy found in 1991 on the Tisenjoch Pass in the Ötztal Alps. During your vacation in the Ötztal Valley, you can search for traces of him in the Ötzi Village.
Did you know that Ötzi was the first person with tattoos? He had a total of 61 tattoos. In the archaeological open-air museum, you'll learn even more exciting facts about Ötzi.
The Ötzi Village is also home to several ancient domesticated breeds: wild horses, aurochs, and many more. Right next door is the Birds of Prey Park, which you can visit immediately afterward.
