Hiking to the Tibet of the Zillertal
Okay, we can just imagine the question marks above your head when you read "Little Tibet of the Zillertal" :D We'll enlighten you: The Hohenaualm, about an hour and a half from Zillergrund, is called Little Tibet because it looks like Tibet: prayer flags, prayer wheels, the lake, and the high mountains all around – everything here is reminiscent of Tibet.
It's best to get your own impression during your vacation in the Zillertal and take a trip there ;)
First, drive from the Explorer Hotel in Kaltenbach to the parking lot at the Bärenbadalm. From there, your hike begins past the Zillergründl reservoir to the Hohenaualm and the source of the Ziller River.
