Learn cross-country skiing with Explorer Hotels: At the camp in Kitzbühel, experienced coaches will show you the correct technique. In workshops, you'll also learn everything about the right equipment and how to care for it.
Cross-country skiing camp for beginners
The camp is suitable for anyone with no experience with cross-country skiing and who wants to learn the correct technique from scratch.
Have you tried cross-country skiing before but don't quite know how? Then you've come to the right place.
Choose between classic and skating styles. And then just try the other one at the next camp 😉
*We reserve the right to offer an alternative program or cancel the camp if the maximum number of participants is not reached
What awaits you at the camp
Friday, January 10, 2025
- 12 p.m.: Meeting point at the Explorer Hotel Kitzbühel, welcome, rental equipment distribution (available for booking)
- 2-3 p.m.: First practice on the trail for classic participants
- 3-4 p.m.: First practice on the trail for skate participants
Followed by return to the hotel and free time to relax in the Sport Spa - 7 p.m.: Dinner together (if desired) (to be arranged with the group on site)
Followed by the end of the evening
Saturday, January 11, 2025
- 8 a.m.: Breakfast
- 9:30-11:30 a.m.: Practice on the cross-country trail for skating style
- 11:30-1:30 p.m.: Practice on the cross-country trail for classic style
Followed by time for independent training or return to the hotel and time to relax in the sports spa - 6 p.m.: Dinner together if desired (to be arranged with the group on site)
- 8:30 p.m.: Waxing presentation, tips on the right equipment, expert talk in the Explorer Lounge
Sunday, January 12, 2025
- 8 a.m.: Breakfast
- 9:30-11:30 a.m.: Classic style practice on the trail
- 11:30-1:30 p.m.: Classic style practice on the trail
One hour each of classic and freestyle
* Approx. 2 p.m.: Return to the hotel & farewell
Carpool to the trail (trail selection depends on snow conditions)
On the road with certified cross-country ski coach Günther Werth
At the cross-country skiing camp, we will learn the basics together so that you can enjoy skiing in the future.

Choose from 70 fresh, high-quality, and predominantly regional products. The highlight is the do-it-yourself egg frying station.
