#1. Boat trip on Lake Königssee
The first thing you absolutely must do on your vacation in Berchtesgaden is a boat trip on Lake Königssee. After all, the famous Hirschau peninsula, with its famous pilgrimage church of St. Bartholomew, is only accessible by boat. The boat trip from the pier in Schönau to the Hirschau peninsula takes about 35 minutes.
Have you heard of the Echo Wall at Lake Königssee? Here, the captain uses a trumpet to demonstrate the impressive echo that reverberates off the rock walls.

#2. Restaurant Jenneralm
Are you still looking for a special restaurant tip for your weekend in Berchtesgaden? Then you absolutely have to visit the Restaurant Jenneralm. The restaurant is located in the Jenner ski area at 1,800 meters. In addition to the magnificent mountain views, you'll find a wide selection of regional specialties here. P.S. Combine your visit to the restaurant at the Jennerbahn with a day of skiing in the Jenner am Königssee ski area!

#3. Snow tubing
If you want to do something "different" this weekend in Berchtesgaden, then snow tubing is definitely a great tip! Snow tubing involves speeding down a groomed slope or a specially designated track on a large rubber tire. The slopes at the Skiarena Obersalzberg are particularly suitable for this. There's even a dedicated snow tubing lift here. This way, skiers and snow tubers don't get in each other's way ;) Another tip would be the snow tubing track at the Kollerlift at the Götschen ski area in Bischofswiesen.

#4. Rossfeld Panorama Road
Did you know that the Rossfeld Panorama Road is the highest panoramic road in Germany? The incredible views alone make a trip to this famous road worthwhile. With numerous switchbacks, it takes you through the high alpine mountains of Berchtesgaden all the way to Obersalzberg. Along the way, you'll find numerous stopping points where you can enjoy the view of the Berchtesgaden Alps.
Tip: At almost 1,600 meters, the highest point of the road, there's a small panoramic circular trail with information boards and benches. The trail is relatively short, but still worth it for anyone who wants to show off their general knowledge after their vacation ;)
