Top Mountain Crosspoint on the
Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road
At 2,175 meters above sea level and at one of the most beautiful vantage points in the Ötztal Valley, stands the Top Mountain Crosspoint in Tyrol. This impressive building is the entrance to the south and combines the Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road, a delicious restaurant with a beautiful panoramic terrace, Europe's highest motorcycle museum, and the valley station of a state-of-the-art cable car in the Ötztal Valley.

The Motorcycle Experience World in Tyrol is thehighest motorcycle museum in Europe. At the museum in Hochgurgl at the Timmelsjoch, you'll find 450 rare and antique vintage motorcycles and classic cars on an exhibition area of 4,500 square meters. The Motorcycle Museum at the Top Mountain Crosspoint is a multimedia world of experience with a 4D cinema, Motor Wall, technology simulations, and, of course, plenty of engine noise. So, even without a motorcycle license, you can experience a motorcycle ride with all your senses! ;)
A fire in January 2021 almost completely destroyed the Motorcycle Museum and its unique exhibits at the Top Mountain Crosspoint. But twin brothers Alban and Attila Scheiber, passionate motorcyclists, rebuilt the museum. The Motorcycle Museum reopened on November 18, 2021, even larger, more spectacular, and with a wealth of information and experiences.

Kirchenkarbahn
The valley station of the Kirchenkarbahn 1 cable car is directly integrated into the Top Mountain Crosspoint on the Timmelsjoch. A 10-person gondola takes you to the mid-station at 2,620 meters in 4.5 minutes. Here, you can stop for a bite to eat at the Kirchenkarhütte or take the Kirchenkarbahn 2 cable car to a high alpine elevation of 2,839 meters. At this altitude, you can enjoy views of the Ötztal and Stubai Alps and the Dolomites in South Tyrol from the viewing platforms.
In winter, the slope from the Gurgl ski area runs directly past the Top Mountain Crosspoint. Perfect for a skiing experience followed by a stop at the Top Mountain Crosspoint Restaurant.
