Here it gets loud: In several stages, the Auerbach plunges over 90 meters into the depths , carving its way through the narrow gorge. Even the journey there is part of the experience – past the Sudelfeld and into an increasingly wild mountain landscape.

You don't have to walk the entire way back: From the Tatzelwurm, you can take the Wendelstein circular route back to Bayrischzell. Be sure to check the current timetable beforehand. For overnight guests with a valid guest card, buses and trains in the relevant MVV zones can be used free of charge.
