A unique hiking experience in Upper Austria
This moderately difficult tour starts at the Baumschlagerreith parking lot in Hinterstoder, Upper Austria, and takes approximately four to five hours. The trail consists of small switchbacks, which are fairly flat at first and become increasingly steeper as the hike progresses.
If you want to enjoy a unique view of the Totes Gebirge Mountains during your vacation in Upper Austria and are an experienced hiker, then this circular hike is definitely a great tip!
P.S. After the hike, you can recharge your batteries with delicious game at the Dorfstuben inn!
Important:
- This hike is especially recommended on hot days.
- The Dolomitensteig trail is closed every year from September 15th to October 1st for hunting reasons!
- Mountaineering boots, mountain experience, and a head for heights are required.
- Alpine trail, partially secured with steel cables.
