The glacier ski area on Germany's highest mountain
On the 2,600m-high Zugspitzplatt, 20 kilometers of perfectly groomed natural slopes with guaranteed snow await you – half a year long. On the easy and intermediate slopes, which are also ideal for beginners and children, you'll cruise mostly above the clouds back down to the valley in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
You can reach the Zugspitze glacier ski area in the Werdenfelser Land either via the 90-year-old cog railway or by taking the Zugspitze cable car at Eibsee directly to the summit. At the summit station, a fantastic view of 400 Alpine peaks in four countries awaits you.
You can also enjoy this 360° panoramic view at the summit restaurant Panorama 2962 or the two other restaurants on the Zugspitze.
If you prefer to travel light on your winter holiday in Farchant, you can rent the best skis and snowboards at the Zugspitze ski rental shop.
