Picnic Slopes in Gerlitzen
What shouldn't be missing from your winter holiday in Bad Kleinkirchheim? That's right, skiing. At 1,911 meters above sea level, all skill levels will find perfectly groomed slopes and a 360-degree panoramic view of the Carinthian Alps.
For the youngest skiers (and even the biggest beginners), everything is ready for their first turns in Carinthia's most central ski area, with three practice areas and the children's and snow bear areas.
Freeriders will find 15 km of natural ski routes in the Gerlitzen ski area, and ski tourers will also be delighted with a 7.5 km long ski run. If you're not entirely comfortable skiing, 12 km of groomed hiking trails await you at the Kanzelbahn mountain station.
After all that exertion, you're sure to feel hungry. The numerous huts and restaurants will spoil you with Carinthian specialties.
